Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.
Shari Kantor is our 20th #NEPACreative of 2017. Shari brings creativity to the area through painting.
When asked how she initially found her love for painting, Shari said that “I was always drawn to a painting of dancers that my grandparents displayed in their dining room. I would go right up to the painting to look at the brush strokes and the dancers’ expressions, as well as try to determine how the artist achieved those color combinations” and to this day Shari will still closely examine other artists’ paintings.
Shari stated that, “I can find inspiration in everything from the sky at twilight to a shell peeking out from the sand to a disco ball to listening to my loved ones laugh” so there is no limit to where her inspiration comes from.
