Intern Spotlight | Sara Biller

Hi everyone! Welcome to our last intern spotlight of the semester. We have been saving (one of) the best for last, our graphic design intern, Sara Biller!

Sara is from Hanover, PA and she graduated from Penn State Wilkes-Barre this past spring with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. This past spring, she was an intern with the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, and during this time, she had the opportunity to explore a lot of different  areas of work, including graphic design. Through this internship, she decided she wanted to pursue a career involving graphic design, which is why she decided to spend her summer at Coal Creative.

She is here to gain additional experience through creating social media graphics, posters, and flyers for various companies and organizations in the area. Through this internship, she has gotten more comfortable using the Adobe Illustrator graphic design software and has been able to focus more on the intricate details of design.

Aside from Coal Creative, Sara spends a lot of her time at Wegmans where she has been working for five years. When she is not at work, she likes to practice graphic design in her free time, or go to Target (who doesn’t?). Sara is also into exploring and going to different parks in the area throughout the summer.

She likes to travel, and her favorite place is Disney World; she’s been there six times including a trip for her 21st birthday!

She is traveling to Utah in September which she is very excited about, because she and her boyfriend will be visiting the national parks there. I’d recommend giving her a follow on social media to see cool photos from that trip!

According to Sara, one word that can be used to describe her is “extra.” Check out some of her designs for the Woodlands or Dress For Success Luzerne County!

Stay coal,
Alex
