Elijah Stroud | The #NEPACreative Series | Coal Creative
Throughout 2017, we are working with our interns to highlight 52 Creatives from the NEPA region. We believe creativity is a broad term that cannot be easily confined within the walls of one simple definition. We want to know what being creative means to you and how you bring that creativity to light.
Elijah Stroud is our nineteenth #NEPACreative of 2017. Elijah brings creativity to the area through writing books and playing Minecraft!
Elijah has always been fascinated with the video game Minecraft so he decided to begin writing stories about the game. Elijah explained, “I was fascinated with the video game Minecraft so I decided to write stories about it and then play those stories for others to see through my Youtube channel.” Elijah first began recording his gaming sessions when he was 7 years old. He wrote his first book at 8 years old and it quickly became an Amazon Best Seller. In May 2016, at age 9, Elijah decided to become more serious with Youtube and building his following.
Elijah will be a guest at Minefaire, the largest festival for a single video game, Minecraft, in the world. The dates he will be featured this year are August 5-6, 2017 in Charlotte, NC, August 19-20, 2017 in Washington, DC and October 14-15, 2017 in Philadelphia.
